Enlightenment 0.17 : If you want E17 running you will need to get and install (in order): 
eet, evas, ecore, embryo, edje, enlightenment. 
You can run enlightenment as your window manager. 
Copy xinitrc.enlightenment to /etc/X11/xinit and run xwmconfig to change the WM.
